Emigration

The answer you entered to the math problem is incorrect.

The time has come and soon I'll be leaving Poland again. Again, this time for even longer period of time. I could even call it emigration - as I don't have intentions of coming back. Why? Maybe because I have always wanted to? To leave Poland with its problems, gloomy reality? To live in a country in which abortion, homophobia and communist past is not a daily topic in newspapers and TV? A country in which salaries are satisfactory and the employers do not try to save money at all cost? Of course I have to admit that it is possible to find a good, interesting job in Poland (if one has knowledge and experience or family in Samoobrona). But money is not everything. It is just a part of a certain level in Maslow hierarchy of needs. I thing that more general than money is something called a standard and comfort of living. In a longer timescale it has a major impact on our well-being.

I'm not going into the unknown. I can even say that I'll be coming back to Switzerland. A beautiful, trilingual country in the middle of Europe. I am a bit concerned about my French - as it is still far from being perfect. Fortunately enough I'll be working mainly in English, and after work I'll attend language classes (French and continuation of Japanese, in order to pass the JLPT in December). My new work will surely be interesting and I will have to travel a lot. I will have to go on regular basis to a city of Roseville in California, which is somewhere near San Francisco. It is a bit strange because I have never imagined myself going to the US. But now I was forced to. I still have to obtain a tourist/business visa, but I have already received all the necessary documents and hope that it would be sufficient to go for a meeting with consul.
